The agreement applies to students who go abroad in the framework of exchanges organized by the Office of Studies Abroad. This Agreement describes the actions and responsibilities that you, your school and the study abroad office accept. I read this study abroad contract carefully before signing it and I agree that it contains my entire agreement with Associated Colleges of the Midwest for my participation in the program. This agreement will only take effect if ACM accepts my application for the program. Risks of studying abroad. I understand that participating in a study abroad program carries risks that are not found at my home university. These include risks associated with travel within and within one or more foreign countries; foreign political, legal, social and economic conditions; local medical and weather conditions; different standards for the design, safety and maintenance of buildings, public places and means of transport; the increased potential for theft of personal property (which is not covered by program insurance) as well as other issues described in the information on the CMA website and in the program manual, which I have verified prior to departure and during the program and will continue to verify. I have done my own research and I am willing to take those risks. Make sure you understand everything and do it with pleasure……
